In June my wife and I retired after 35 years of teaching in public school. I'm 58 years old, she's 57 and that's considered a little early to retire. Our retirement system offered an early program if you were willing to pay mightly for it. We did because time is worth more than money. I've got the time now and I figure I'll write my thoughts in retirement as a guide for me and maybe others who will soon follow. I've spent the last four months fixing up our rental property in RI. We took it back after renting it out for 20 years (college expenses) and now we want to use it as a vacation, get-away home for the near future. This first post signals the end (is there ever and end to fixing your house?) to those activities and the start of more "leisure" time for me. I hope to write every day.
